Blowing out the cobwebs

It's been a long time since we've posted anything on the St. John's Pro Life blog...in fact over the last few months all of our regular activities in the parish have lain rather dormant but, at our meeting last week, we decided to renew our efforts in all areas, including posting on here!

So to start us off I thought you could all see what we intend to do over the coming months. You can download our recent meeting minutes here or email me for a copy. We intend to take things slowly, not bite off more than we can chew, but do more nonetheless. We'll also put up on here all the things we intend to do as they come along. If you see anything in the minutes you'd like to comment on then please, by all means do, or if you'd like to get involved in anything then that would be amazing too! You can always contact me via email if you have questions about any of our upcoming activities.

Have you all seen this? It would be excellent to get involved and many of you can blaze a trail for other parishes by your input.

O Mary, bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life: Look down, O Mother, upon the vast numbers of babies not allowed to be born, of the poor whose lives are made difficult, of men and women who are victims of brutal violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of misguided mercy. Grant that all who believe in your Son may proclaim the Gospel of life with honesty and love to the people of our time. Obtain for them the grace to accept that Gospel as a gift ever new, the joy of celebrating it with gratitude throughout their lives and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build, together with all people of good will, the civilization of truth and love, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life. AMEN

What we're all about

We are a group of parishioners from St John the Evangelist Catholic Church in the diocese of Arundel & Brighton who, through a mixture of our faith and our personal experiences, are convinced of the immeasurable value of each and every human life at every stage and through every challenge. "Blessed the man whose help comes from you, who has set his heart on reaching you. They pass through the valley of thirst and make a spring there: the morning rain will cover it with blessings." (Psalm 84)
